  • Check-in is after 4pm. Check-out is by 10am.

Property Access

  • The last 0.4 miles is a one-way, gravel road with a steep incline.
  • AWD/4WD is required for this home year-round. In times of snow or ice, chains may also be necessary.
  • While the last 0.25 miles is a steep, gravel road, once you arrive, the parking area is flat and accommodates three or four cars.
  • There is a single step to enter the main level.

Policies and Rules

  • No pets allowed.
  • No smoking allowed.
  • Minimum age: 25 years.
  • Children allowed.
  • No events allowed.

Fees and Payments

  • Firewood for the fire pit may be added at the time of booking under "Additional Fees" after entering payment info or by reaching out more than a week in advance. Two wrapped bundles and a firestarter are provided for $25/night.
  • Guests returning to Shady Pines may receive a discount of 10%, not to be combined with other discounts to the room rent.

Cancellation Policy

  • Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
  • Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit.
  • Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
  • All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

  • The parking area is flat and accommodates three or four cars.
  • Free parking is available (per amenities list).
